I have been MIA when it comes to writing for a long time. There are many reasons for this, but I have realized that the most important is that I have lost my focus and inner guiding voice over the last few years and have been controlled by external factors.
For a long time, I've felt a lack of balance, a weight I've carried without acknowledging or making the necessary adjustments. Finally, acknowledging this imbalance has brought immense relief. This lack of balance gradually led me to lose control over my passions and motivations. But I believe in the power of a fresh start, and I'm ready to embark on a new journey.
A New Start
For many years, I've been ensnared in the allure of busyness. Consistently delivering, but in the process, I've strayed further from what's necessary for my personal growth and inspiration. The louder my inner voice became, the more I felt uninspired and off track. An unhealthy amount of work in a stress spiral finally led to a crossroads - continue and perish, start over, simplify, and try to rediscover what ignited my passion.
Listening to Amy Jo Martin in her podcast "Why Not Now?" clarified where I was on my journey. She unfolds her past decade and discusses the importance of sharpening your ability to hear your intuition. It's a strategic advantage, but as the drive to force things to happen slowly disconnects you from your inner voice, you run on empty; I have words for what I have felt for a long time.
I have a similar drive to make things happen, but with the glorification of busyness and a focus on external feedback, I have increasingly ignored my inner voice. With too much to do, I became fragmented into too many pieces. The harder I pushed, the more I felt stuck in the same rut. But, if you have to push hard, you know something is off and needs to change. And if I ease up, I become more successful as the balance improves.
Rediscover Why
After a significant reset at the beginning of the year, I'm embarking on a new journey. I'm grateful for the voices that have inspired me and helped me find a more straightforward path. I'm ready to rediscover my 'Why' and find balance, and I'm excited to return to my role as a guiding leader with an infinite mindset.
Deliberately investing my time is everything. It will give me the necessary space to think and reflect on finding balance and applying this as a leader, business developer, and CTO. This journey of self-discovery and balance is not just personal but also professional, as it will help me bring an infinite mindset to my work. An infinite mindset means leading and building a business for the longer run as part of a cause, something bigger than you. I hope to inspire the organizations and entrepreneurs I connect with to adopt a similar approach.
My drive is still there; it's a superpower - but my intention must be clear about why I'm doing what I do and where I spend my time. This blog will be a central part of the journey, as it helps me connect with my voice, and writing will inspire me to switch to a more infinite mindset.
In my next post, "A New Focus," I will dive deeper into the main focus when writing. I'm eager to share my journey with you and look forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences. Welcome to my journey, and feel free to contact me and share yours!
